Hi all,
Got a set of XTR M975 brakes on my MTB, the front lever has started to weep brake fluid and there is no seal kit available, its not the reservoir cap.
If I bought a XTR M9020 trail lever ( http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-xtr-m9020-trail-disc-brake-lever/rp-prod119766 ) would it be compatible (or will I die)
Any other ideas as I love the M975 brakes but not available on ebay at a reasonable price and the XTR lever is only just over £50 ?
Thanks
Any other shimano lever with the parallel reservoir should work. I have XT calipers running on Saint levers, XT calipers on SLX levers and LX on Saint levers. Although I will say that all of those combos feel better than the m975s I used to have on the Blender
You can run new levers with old callipers if you use SMBH90 hoses with the narrower internal diameter.
Cheers will buy some SMBH90 hoses and a lever and see what happens
