I'm a bit out of touch with the latest brakes, I'm going to build myself a Bike, probably based around an epiphany, so I've been looking online and thinking which brakes to fit?
I'd like them to be light, I won't be doing any serious DH, so what would you chose and why?

slx cheapish and everyone i know who has them raves about them but in all honesty i have not used them
Hope because they are hope - both those I know who replaced hope with slx rated them as better
Rose bikes are probably the cheapest.
I got both the SLX and Deore models from rose bikes and to be honest the Deore are amazing brakes. Only cost £60 all in and I can't recommend them enough.
+1 for SLX or XT if your budget allows. Good quality brakes which are easy to set-up / maintain.
