Hi everyone,

I have a small yet bloody frustrating technical issue!

I have just spent the £8 on the official shimano front post mount adaptor but my front caliper sits to far outboard resulting in constant rub on the inside pad. (hope this is making sense!)

Now, I did have another adaptor on there and started to use washers to sit the rotor central to the pads, but i could not get the right sized washers to make it sit central, very tight gap! So i decided to buy the official adaptor. With no luck..........and im £8 poorer, i know.....devastating!

Do you guys just use spacers untill it matches spot on?

Thanks all!

Probably a mis-match of tolerances between hub/fork/caliper, but check for the classic schoolboy error of the hub not being seated correctly in the fork's dropouts.Alternatively, shims to space the rotor away from the hub are also available, and may be what you need.

I had to space out my SLX calliper on my Rebas until it stopped rubbing, just one washer on each bolt.

You can buy a spacer pack from yout lbs for about £1.50 that contains a few washers from wafer thin to about 1mm. Worked well for me.

cheers guys, just wanted to make sure i was not being a complete muppet! I assumed buying the right adaptor would nail it first time!

I picked up 8 1/2 mm washers today to sort it!

Never knew you could get shims, hopefully the washers work! should do.

cheers people
