having so troubling finding out why i keep getting a metallic rattle from my rear brake. its an early cotic hemlock with hope tech x2 and a 180mm saw rotar. intermitant metallic rattle which will stop when i pull the brake lever in very slightly, comes and goes. do it on single track and on smooth roads when i ride to work. the disc and all my linkage bolts are tight, rear wheel is tight and bearings good, pads are good and worn even and have copper greased the backs, caliper i also setup very well as per hope videos
any ideas?
you mean rattle or "ting"
everybody tings
i had a rattle - turned out to be my non-hayes pads rattling.
you could call it a tinging noise,
last night i pushed the pistons back and reset them. was central before, are the same after doing it again, no rub or rotor flex and its been ok today
My levers rattle a little. Nothing to be done about it tho
