Cleaning rotor with IPA and lightly sanding pads then bedding them in again or do they need replacing?
Any other / better methods?

Methylated spirits on the rotor.
I'd be inclined to bin the pads. IMHO it's not worth the effort of sanding unless there's no alternative, if they're contaminated it's usually right through the pad.
place pads on the hob (not gas) turn heat up until they start to smoke, leave on until they stop smoking, remove from heat USING PLIERS, refit when cool.
not as good as replacing with new, but 15 quid cheaper.
I wouldn't waste India Pale Ale on cleaning pads.
Depends on why it's happened. If they've got a wee bit glazed then just scuffing the face up with a scotchbrite pad can do wonders- more likely to happen with hard pads that. If they're contaminated then maybe you can save them but it's quite a bit of work and pads aren't expensive.
Bin the pads? Why throw when you can fix.
Just sand them down on a flat surface and clean with brake and carb cleaner.
Let dry then lightly sand rotors and clean again then get out and bed then in.
Sorted and worked anytime I've done it.
