Pizzas tonight and I thought I would whack some contaminated pads in there to see if they clean up.
It’s going to be 450 degrees c  ,will that be too hot?

Might work, might be a pizza cake to get it sorted.

Nowhere near too hot, especially if they’re sintered metal

Put em on tin foil though you don't want the brake fluid coming out and going into the slab. That'll ruin your pizzas forever

Just been out on another bike and the rear brake squealed and lacked power.

Thought I’d blast the pads with the heat gun. Pads got up to about 250c. Still bad .

Fired up the Ooni whacked the pads in, got up to about 380c. They were red Superstar pads but the red turned black so must have got substantially hotter than the gun.

Put pads in , no squeal ,tons of feel and loads of bite. Perfect.

Sounds like you need to sort out the contamination problem rather than be pleased about burning the paint of your pads.
