Its probably been done to death, (my search capabilities are a bit lacking), whats the best place to get brake pads from. I've used superstar before, but not for a few years but they arnt stocking the shimano pads i need (S2). Any good deals around, anyone best to avoid?

I'm with deadkenny. If you're not in a rush they seem to do a sale/discount quite frequently.
cheers will have a look.
Recently had to use Clark's Organic as they were all I could get quickly.
So far they've been great including a wet day at Revolution.
Try this guy on ebay. Posts them out same day. Great prices and service

+1 for Mardi chilli quick delivery and cheap
Performance is good but some metal pads I got were inconsistent but that might be user error
I actually use Shimano's own
resin in the front and metal in the back as they are consistent and great performance. Can be had from Halfords if in a rush
deadkenny +1
The sintered lack power (probably no more than any other sintered pad) but everything else has been fine. Currently on organics (semi metalic?) until the weather deteriorates then I'll swap to the race matrix pads or just back to sintered if it's just local trails I know rather than anywhere gnarly!
