Guys & Girls,

I've just bought a set of shimano XT brakes and I'm going to be running them on an Orange Five (IS Rear) with 180mm rotor. The frame is silver and I've gone for the silver brakes to match. Now I obviously would like the brake mounts to be silver as well! But Shimano only do their mounts in black!

Will this hope offering fit?

If not, will another brand fit? Or am I forced to use a black mount. Not the end of the world, but it won't look as pretty...

Cheers
Jon

I fitted a set of old Juicy 7's with exactly that adapter yesterday.
I'd say they should be fine.

that adapter is for a 183mm disc so obviously there is a chance your pad won't cover the brake surface as well as shimano intended.

You could always just polish the shimano mount.
