I'm building up an XL Orange Five and having spent the best part of 1hr 15 feeding the brake hose through the frame it looks like it might actually be a bit too short :(. I really don't fancy doing it again and so I'm considering just extending the hose with the Elvedes kit. I know fitting new hose would be the right thing to do but is there any real issue using an extension kit?
That looks like an expensive way to avoid an hours work, why not buy an internal routing tool for around the same money then if you ever need to do it again you’ve got it?
Its a doddle to route a new hose now, you've done the hard way.
Push an inner up the existing hose. Pull the old hose out. Push the new one down the inner
Easy.
You can use one of  these to connect the old hose to the new then pull it through the frame & swing arm.
New, full length hose now ordered.
