Why would a brake disc rotate round the hub a few millimetres then reengage? Brand new bike, both front and rear.
Supplier will repair but I' m just so impatient to know!

Hub (Front) Formula CL51
Hub (Rear) Shimano FH-RM35 Disc

Yes mike, that red hub looks similar.

Are they easily tightened or is a special tool job?

If it is centre lock then there's nothing you can do about it now. Worn splines means the hub is for the bin

That's the beauty of Centerlock - nothing to worry about or to fix. There will always be some play in the splines - you can tighten the nut to make it "disappear", but deep down you will always know there is play.

Is it actually the disc moving in relation to the hub, or just the pads moving slightly in the carrier?

On a brand new bike though?

Is the lockring tightened up OP?
