Anyone know what would be the minimum length of hydraulic cable I need to allow for the front brake on a medium sized Giant xtc frame? I'm not with the bike at the moment and trying to buy a set without measurements is a bit of a pain... Cheers T.C
As a rough guide, I have found 750mm just enough for normal size xc bars/frame/100mm-ish fork/160mm rotor, but if it was me i would be happier with 800mm and the option to shorten the hose.
What fork, will you be using headset spacers under the stem, narrow or wide bars and what size brake rotor may make a bit of difference too.
Cheers for that, really useful! Apparently the cable I'm buying has 88cm so should be more tham enough, I've got rockshox dart 2s and no spacers yet so hopefully all good. Thanks again, T.C
