You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Morning all,
My new brakes have goodridge braided hoses. I attempted to shorten one yesterday and my cheap and simple hose cutter didnt make a dent, so i used some plier type cutters which mashed the braided part and made a mess.
So i need to invest in a new cutter, but dont want to buy something that wont do the job. Any recommendations please!
I found the neatest way to cut braided hose is to first wrap it in electrical tape then cut it with a cutting disc on a dremel.

I think you are right. A bit more googling suggest a cutting disc is the way!
I have always used a small size copper tube cutter which roles around and keeps it neat, just needs a spike to open out inner afterwards to fit to the end.
