Give it the benefit of the doubt for a second and assume its not ridiculously uncomfortable and actually did mean a more 'even distribution of weight' and nicer, erm, 'ride'. You still wouldn't be able to lift yourself off it in polite company!

Could it be for a time-trialler who wants to stay absolutely in the optimum position ?
