Good morning gang!

Tomorrow will be my first BPW trip of the year and I really CBA to spend the day with a soaked bum, but at the same time I don't want to get to the uplift and find I can't get the bike on. Does anyone have experience of uplifts with a Mudhugger 29er on?

Cheers!

The rear guard is fine, it's the FRX front mudguard you'll have issues with if you have one. Especially if they have the stupid big army truck running, it's trailer doesn't like mudguards at all. The normal trailers behind the Transits are fine for rear guards as long as you avoid the slot directly above the axle as the mudguards get in the way. For the front one I have a trimmed down one I use there and for the cable car lifts in the Alps. Strangely never had any issues anywhere else.

How far around the wheel does it come?

I've always had the front mudhugger on and that's been fine so far, though I've yet to use the megabus they have.

The rear looks pretty much like this.....

you will probably rattle it off on the rocks.

I would get some waterproof shorts/trousers/onesie instead
