Just back from a great day at BPW, testing out a new Enduro (Of which more anon). Some top riding, as expected, including the lovely new A470 line.
At one point, I had to point out to a rider resembling a stormtrooper, clad head to toe in body armour, with a full face helmet at the top (By the brilliant new shelter/hut thingy) that their front QR wasn't actually threaded in to anything, and the only reason it wasn't already off was that their v-brakes weren't clearing their tyre!
Said rider was with a decent sized group of friends. Had no one thought to actually check the bike(s) before they launched down?
Scary.
He obviously knew, hence all the protective gear.
You're such a nosey so-and-so, CFH.
Was he a local?
Did he understand anything you said to him?
😉
😀
Not sure anyone did during a night out at the Vulcan last night, that's for sure! 🙂
Front QR 😯
V brakes 😯
Head to toe in armour and riding a bike old enough to have v-brakes...... Definitely a local lad.
M-check FTW!
I was there today too, cracking day.
Did uyou hear how the lad was who crashed on sixtapod?

Didn't hear about that! Fingers crossed that he's OK.
We were at CwmCarn the day before and while in the car park, we heard a helicopter overhead. Every single rider in the car park looked up with that "I hope that's not an air ambulance! look on their faces. Thankfully it wasn't.
Oh, and everyone else - Why assume it was a male rider?
Was it the girl on the GT?
Are you trying to imply you told Manon her bike was Sarisin?
I smell BS as usual...
I've done this twice to a mate- taken his bike out of the car, stuck the wheel in just for convenience, not actually tightened it up though because I had my own bike to assemble. He sees it "complete", rides off, you can get a surprisingly long way at glentress before the wheel falls out...
