Thought i'd stick it up here as i've been billy no mates at times in the past... Me and a bunch of like minded individuals are playing at BPW on the 3rd if anyone else fancies some cold, snowy, rainy, muddy fun fun fun 🙂
We'll be staying locally too for beers and banter the night before.
Odds are, if the weather is somehow dry and nice me and my lad will do 1-2 runs the afternoon before as well to get in some practice before the lads turn up 🙂
Tempting, thanks.
would be good to meet you, in purely a non sexual way of course 🙂
We're in Premier Inn night before now too.
Any more for any more ?
Dry on Friday and not too cold! Can't wait now
I’m at BPW with no mates tomorrow.
Look out for a swarthy overweight short arse on a black Mega TR with Manitou forks.
Cheers
Jason
Will do mate, I'm on an orange t130, my crazy lad has a sky blue helmet and us smaller than everyone else.
We're in the bar at the Premier Inn if you're staying locally and want some company tonight.
No, not like that!
I’m driving there and back tomorrow unfortunately. See you on the hill!
The videos to come later will explain why that's the case.
Great laughs, banter, beers and mates. Doesn't get any better, honestly.
Following your boy down trails watching him pressure grown men and nearly jumping into their heads, priceless.

Pure speculation without the video, but with all the trail etiquette threads on here and elsewhere, this upsets me a bit.
I'm very much a "slower person should pull off as soon as safe to do so" fan; but pressuring them and nearly jumping into them isn't cool.
If he's that fast at a young age he'll be properly rapid with an 18 yearolds strength, so this is only going to occur more and more in the future.
<End of grumpy old man mode> - glad you both had a good time - those smiles are well worth the price of admission
Weather and conditions were great, even though, I managed to clip a root on the way to my first uplift which sent me OTB’s luckily so fully I landed on my back with no arm or shoulder injuries. Sadly this is not unusual for me, the last big crash I had was on the way to the uplift for the first run as well.
All in all a little weird going alone for the first time, but enjoyed it nevertheless.
Didn’t see you at all weeksy, but with a six vans on not surprising really.
Shame I love seeing the little uns shred.
Next time maybe.

Lol they were our mates who we were with.
Shouts of 'faster faster, go go go' were common too.
Along with them giving us ebike abuse every time we hit an incline and they then bugger off from us clockwork bikes.
I can promise you, we didn't pressure or abuse anyone who wasn't 100% up for it already.
I’m with AJW on this. If a grown man was doing that to a kid there’d be an uproar. It isn’t OK when it’s the other way round.

We somehow lost one of the lads after the first run, we didn't seem him again till 2pm, despite both sets of riders waiting at top and bottom etc to find eachother
I'm at the front, my lad is just in front of the camera which is in Couchys helmet
Great day tbh, as for the pressuring please read the posts it was between mates in the same group and not towards anyone we didn’t know. We regularly stopped on trails if we caught slower people and regularly waited to give them more time unless they stopped and waved us by
Haha! if you can be pressured by a 11 year old kid, says more about you than anything. Bloody weirdos.
Looks like a good day Weeksy.. don’t think Ikve ever seen it that sunny!
Considering the time of year, we hit really lucky on the weather.
The pressuring was tongue in cheek as I know the lads would read the thread, but he's far from slow lol. Strava has up as top50 out of 259 on Sixtapod this year. So he's going well enough for an 11 year old.
I realised after I posted that it was probably your mates he was pressuring, not some randomers, so no worries there - bet your friends let him go first next time
They did a few times... 🙂
He's not quite at our flat out pace just yet, depends on which of the guys was leading down a particular trail and how well both they and my lad knew the trail. We've been there more than a couple of the others so he has some home-field advantage.
Short one of me.
If people want to talk Trail Etiquette talk to those guys at 1.50 on the first video, waiting on the outside of a corner...
