Do the boxxer rcs (2015) normally have a bottom out bumper on the rebound shaft? Just put a charger damper in but there was no bottom out bumper in the old forks though im sure ive seen them mentioned somewhere?
Pretty sure they do, but if it's still in place in the bottom of the leg you'll be hard pushed to see it
Yes it was just a long urethane rod that sat inside the spring on my 2013s. Took it out as I rarely get full travel even with regular spring.
Well there appeared to be a small disc in the bottom of the damper side but not a bottom out bumper like the one in the boxxer team manual. Weirdly the RC manual doesnt show one but the team manual does.
Another quick question... Which way does the spring go in? Think ive had it in wrong way round for a bit, larger diameter sitting at the bottom of the leg?
Well the charger damper is frickin awesome.
Any chance you can let us know how you get on with the charger damper? I'm thinking about doing my RC's
Went out today and it really is a big improvement. They now feel way smoother and more controlled. Its really worth doing. Bike-discount.de have them at the lowest price ive found.
Pretty easy to fit too. Only problem was getting the old casting plug out. What they suggested in the instructions didnt work too well.
