This is going to sound stupid to some of you but what happens when a Bottom Bracket is knackered ?
I keep reading threads about " mashing one after just 2 rides " etc, and just wondered what the actual symptoms are ?
Does it just stop turning, get noisy, or ball bearings fall out ?

They generally go with Notchy, grinding feel, play from side to side or if you've just left your bike caked in wet mud for ages they can just plain seize up!
