OK, so my SRAM GTX BB has finally given out. They seem to be prone to premature wear so I was looking to replace it with something better but not ridiculously priced.

Someone on the Whyte FB group recommend the Uberbike GXP Stainless Bottom Bracket? Any experience of this make? Looks like a small outfit with some good reviews.

Also does anyone have any discount codes for their website?

Edit.. would you also recommend changing anything else at the same time? While you have the bonnet open.

Thanks

I have used most (including Hope), currently using an Uberbike one, seems fine. I have changed one bearing on it. I would be interested in trying a Nukeproof one next.

Long time hope fan, within the last 12 months finally replaced the bearings in mine and they're already worn out and were making an awful sound, I'm not convinced at all by the adapter design rather than simply making a bottom bracket designed for GXP. My fella got hope recently on my recommendation as well and his is creaking like a wrongun already. I've swapped for nukeproof and am impressed so far but time will tell.

Uber here. Very similar construction and first bearing set lasted longer than my Hope one.
