You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi all, I bought a bottom bracket which failed after one ride, one side completely seized! So I sent it back and asked for a refund as I was really not happy about the quality etc. I have been told by the owner of the company that I can't have a refund as I must have installed it wrong( I think this may be a stock answer) and that he has got the "warranty dept" to install new bearings out of good will and it is being returned. I don't want it back but do still want a refund, where do I stand legally?
What make BB is it?
Why do you not want it fixed?
superstar by any chance? **waits**
I don't want it replaced as I don't trust them as it only lasted one ride. Don't really want to start all the octo porn stuff off, but its a superstar one. Just want some advice really not a big slagging off etc.
Hmm, if he's replaced the bearings FOC, then i'd accept it back.
"If" its a SS BB them save it for summer? FWIW mine didnt last that long, put it down to being unfamilair with setting them up i.e. too tight on the pre load. Only £20, so lession learned! Plus you can always bin the bearings when they die and pop some decent ones in the cups yourself.
i also had one, that lasted 2 rides! i gave up with the douche bag who runs the company and bought a hope one.
Xt already bought. Guess it will teach me to try and save money.
why don't you just install it properly?
