My new Calibre Dune fat bike, comes with one of those Shimano Alivio front derailleurs that are mounted via a plate around the bottom bracket.

Shimano Alivio

I'd like to remove it and replace the chainrings with a single narrow wide one. I'm assuming I'll need some sort of spacer for the bottom bracket? I can't seem to find many options, but I'm assuming that I need a 2.5mm one of these? Will I also need some spacers for the crank bolts too?

Cheers,

It's a square taper BB so doesn't actually need spacers- the axle length is fixed. IIRC I just removed the plate and tightened the BB cup back in.

Bolts I can't remember at all, I fitted short ones but I had them spare, no idea if I actually had to.
