Said id help a mate out fit a new Hollotech 2 bottom bracket on to a 68mm shell with a triple crank set for him.
But on fitting I cannot get the play out of the crank set without installing what I believe is too many spacers.
I've had to put 2 x 2.5mm and 1 x 2mm in the drive side and 2 x 2.5mm in non drive side to take up the play in the axle. The original only had 1 2.5mm spacer in each side but the cup was about 2 mm wider on each side on the original. Ive spent ageas pissing about with it now. So looking for some ideas.
Typical wish id just told him to stick it into the bike shop!
Cheers

MTB
It's a hollowtech 2 bottom bracket. Everything I have read says 2 spacers on drive side and 1 on non drive.
But this is a triple chainset so thought it might be different?
It's a truativ crank

Won't that be GXP not Hollowtech II?
