Hi,
My bottom bracket has developed a creak. I've removed the crankset with the intention of just regreasing the crank spindle and interfaces and re-assembling.
However I notice when I spin the bottom bracket bearings by just pushing the plastic top cap around the drive-side is quite noisey/scratchy. It's a FSA Mega Exo BB-1000, I was wondering if its possible to just prize off those plastic top caps and regrease the bearings or is it time to replace the whole thing?.
Any advice appreciated.

Very funny, but I did spell it correctly. Any other more useful feedback appreciated.
Normally its new BB time. Once the bearings get rough they are normally done. I'm guessing regreasing will just delay the inevitable replacement.

I've never found rough bearings to cause a creak.

No, it's halfway between Fork Trail and Axle Path.
