So my cyclo-cross bike has a 68mm BB with a Sram chainset and I think a 30BB fitting.
I'd like to change the crank to get lower gearing and have a shimano 105 CX specific crank.
Do I need to change to a Hollowtech 2 bottom bracket?

If you just want lower gearing could you just get a wider-range cassette, or a smaller chainring at the front?

On the current chainset, there appears to be no options for a smaller chain ring due to the bcd distance

What cassette do you currently have? Can you change to an 11-34 or 36 to give you a lower gear?
