Apologies if this is a dumb question, but the bottom bracket on my Calibre Sentry just went after 12 weeks or so. Go Outdoors were brill and swapped it FOC, however, it is obvious that the current BB and crank are both crap and as heavy as the moon 🙂 The current crank and BB are SRAM NX Eagle Power Spline 32T with a Truvativ powerspline BB (118 mm spindle and 68 / 73mm shell, no spacer). If I wanted to swap it, would something like this fit:

And
https://www.wiggle.co.uk/sram-nx-eagle-dub-12sp-crankset/
Or am I missing some obvious measurements?
Thanks
Steve
They will fit. I don't know what chainline your frame needs though - the chainset you've linked to says it has a 49mm chainline. Mind you, it also says it has two chainrings 🙂
Thanks and yes, that confused me...
Just done a quick search on chain line, it’s just this measurement?
“ Chainline is measured from the centerline of the frame to the center of the chain. You can measure the front chainline directly with a simple ruler. Simply hold the ruler against the seat tube or down tube and measure the distance from the middle of the seat tube to the middle of the chainring teeth.”
Thanks 👍🏼
Ok, so I now have the bottom bracket and crank for a 52mm chainline and crank shell width of 73mm. Re the spacers, on page 6 of the SRAM guide (
) do I just follow the spacer advice for the basic 73mm, which is one 4.5mm spacer on the outer right? I do have boost spacing if that has any relevance here.
The answer is really simple, if anyone else needs it:
