I have a battery that I've used with various MagicShine/Fluxient/SolarStorm lights - all the same voltage and connector. I hacked the side out of an old bottle, ran the cable out of the spout and fixed it all up with duct tape. I then sling this in a bottle cage. This battery is now on its way out and not giving me anything like the run time it used to do.
So I can do the same thing again but I wonder if there's a ready-made solution out there? I'm thinking of a bracket that bolts on to the bottle cage bosses and a battery that clips onto the bracket.
Is there anything out there like that?
Smudge @ MTB Batteries does a bottle battery. Had one for years, really well put together.
I'm now using one of his batteries in a bag which straps under my top-tube.

I use a 'tool keg' for my Hope R8 battery. Drill a 22mm (?) hole in the top and use a rubber bung for an electrical back box to seal it. You can puncture the bung with something sharp to thread the cable / connector through.
Try mtb batteries although the battery on mine has lasted years the bottle is too small for my cage.doesnt matter now though as it dits in my backpack for a head light
wrap in a tube and use one of these

Or I just strap my 4 cell job to the backbone of a metal bottle cage.
MTB batteries all the way.
I have a new under bar battery running my old Troute light and it works well
Superb quick service
