I'd like to use a bottle on my bike but the bottle cage mount are surrounded by cables.. i seem to remember seeing an extension thing which fits on the mounts and allows the bottle to fit further up the downtube away from the cables. If this actually exists.. does anyone know where i can get one??

Di2 battery adapter mives mhe cage up or down. It lifts it slightly further from the tube but not alot.

Mount Skidmore adapter is what you are looking for but the Di2 battery mount also works.

The Topeak quick release bottle mount can move the cage up or down a couple of cm I use it to increase clearance on a Spesh Epic

As scotroutes says, Mount Skidmore (I’ve one on the b/packing SolarisMAX).

Bought from wildcat iirc.

My wife's Liv just has a couple of round spacers which go behind the cage and slightly longer bolts. Seems to work ok.

I use some zefal adaptor to move seat tube mounts down in the frame.  They're like a big plastic jubilee clip with a captive nut to attach your standard bottle cage to.

Edited to add:  Halfords sell them pm also easy to get hold of.
