Got any recommendations (what you use) on your tight fit frame. I do not have much forward movement available. Sideways fine, forwards a about half a bottle.
Thanks, Wally.

Specialized make side entry cages for just this problem.

Same issue a few months ago here, so ended up getting two Elite Cannibal cages. The wide mouths make an angled entry easy, and once in place they hold my Camelbak bottles nice and snug. Not the very lightest option available, but they were pretty cheap (~£6 each), with lots of colours to match too.

Hope this helps!

The Zees are sided too, so choose left or right opening (or one of each for two in a frame).

Leyzene make a good, inexpensive side loader, Arundel make a very nice, light, expensive one , I haven't lost a bottle from either. http://www.arundelbike.com/product/sideloader/

Blackburn do a side roller cage, you can adjust where the opening for bottle is...its awesome. Also see mount skidmore for a device that moves your cage mounting! Both are great.

Elite do one. It's what we've got on Micromtbfixlette's Islabike.

Got a BBB BBC-35 alloy bottle cage in a SC Superlight with very little room in the front triangle (610ml Camelbak bottle fits with an inch to spare):

Currently £12.06 on Amazon.

Evans own brand (FWE) carbon side-loaders are actually very well finished. I bought a couple for Mrs Gasket's roadie the other day.

Fabric cageless bottle

I have one of these on one of my bikes.
I wouldn't fit on another bike that's tight for space.
The Spech zee thing did.

Designed to solve issues with car racks, but it's a sideways QR. You'd be taking cage off with bottle to take a drink, but probably not an issue.

Or maybe this which seems to only need minimal room to clip on and off. Again cage comes with the bottle, but it's a neat cage and should prevent bottles rattling and falling out too.

I use one of these to shift my bottle mount position to allow me to put a side mount bottle cage on my stooge under my frame bag. Shifts it an inch - which makes a lot of difference
