Guys

I have on my bike two No. bottle cages. The bottle cage on the seat tube became loose. So whilst trying to tighten up the bolts I have noticed the bolts have actually sheared from the frame.

Now then, how to fix it? Ive now removed the bolts and the bit they thread into and therefore I have holes now where they used to be. Can you buy the bits the bolts crew into so I can tap em back inot the frame?

Or Zip tie my bottle cage back on, or something else?

TIA

A decent bike shop should be able to sort out the problem, if not your LBS then a frame refinisher. There is a special tool that allows the threaded nut part to be reintroduced into the frame.

You can get a cage and mount for frames without bosses. Only choice really if you don't want to repair.

My old frame had this problem - years ago and my dad fixed it with a Nutsert. Worked perfectly.
