I'm pondering a Bothy weekend before winter. Somewhere possibly near Aviemore? The bothy needs to be rideable to with a bob trailer. Be remote enough that it wont be busy, and within reach of some good trail riding.

Any suggestions?

Looks like a bothy registration number - Google has no idea where.

Maybe try it as a grid ref!

Tsk, tsk. Imagine a moonter not recognising an OS grid ref.

I was going to say NN847927, not too sure if its remote enough to guarantee space tho...

Druidh, have you typed that correctly? Nothing shown on my 1:50000s and not a very 'bothy-ish' area..

mcmoonter - is that right up your street then? The track to Loch Gamhna is one of my all-time favourites, short though it is. You also have access to all of Inshriach and Rothiemurchus, including the route to Glen Einich (though the rivers are all very high at the moment). I reckon you could make it to the cake shop in a matter of minutes??

>Be remote enough that it wont be busy<

No danger any of the above fit that category. Then again you could get lucky and have the whole place to yourselves.

Inshriach doesn't have a fire btw = bothy fail.
