Anyone got a Bosch smartphone hub installed?
I have, and the speed seems to be incorrect. The motor is supposed to cut out at 25kmh (obv) but the speed reads 27 when it cuts out. Same when it's in MPH mode the motor cuts out at 16.7mph instead of 15.5.
This is exactly 8% out which is odd.
I had someone ride behind me with a Garmin today and they were showing 25Kmh when I was at 27 (not a particularly scientific test I grant you but not sure how else to verify it...) so I think the motor must be cutting out at the correct speed legally but how come it doesn't display that correctly. I have had a look at the wheel circumference settings in the app and it is set internally on the device itself at 2315mm (29" diameter wheel) and I have adjusted it within the app to 2330mm (to reflect my tyres) but this actually makes no difference. I cannot adjust it by 8% as it doesn't have that range of adjustment - it can be adjusted from 2199mm to 2430mm. I have set it to 2430mm and actually it makes zero difference to the speed display anyway. The magnet is on the rotor and is preinstalled that way on a Shimano eBike rotor.
Any ideas anyone as I'm baffled?
