Not the Kyle Strait variety, the stopping kind.
I have cheap brakes on my road bike (2013 Trek 1.2), just noticed I'm nearly out of rubber. Can I just buy any pad? I quite like the cartridge type - will they fit?
If any of them offer less of a terrifying wet descending experience for a large chicken I'd really appreciate a linky
tyvm
*Please don't suggest using them less due to the above mentioned chicken affliction 😉
Kool Stop Salmons are quite reasonably priced and awesome.
Transformed the performance of the tektro calipers on my old roadie.
SwissStop Green are your best bet in my opinion. Able to stop my not inconsiderable weight on some pretty long and fast descents.

I don't have cartridges in these brakes - can I just fit em?
Nope, You will need to buy holders as well.
It may be worth looking at their new black pad, after using both I prefer the black ones.
Sorry - i meant the holders too lol - they're a direct replacement then (holder plus pad)?
