forks.
It's gonna take a while to get it as i want it, here it is with the Hummingbird fork slotted in and a temporary v brake only 29er wheel in place (in order for me to see how it looked and to peddle round the garden). Initial garden epic = nice and slack but not too tall,
then ditched the queer gear
awaiting an Hope / Arch EX front wheel, Salsa ProMoto2 11' handlebars......... (anyone got 69er 2.2" RQ BC = email me).

Band wagon it and fit a 27.5 for a 67er
LOL @ RD!!!
Be careful if you go the 67er route using a standard 26" fork. I did that for a while a couple of years back and the tyre gradually wore through the fork brace. I spotted it before it was too bad but not noticable while riding.
fork brace on a rigid fork ❓
Nothing funky like that will happen, the Hummingbird rigid fork is designed for 26" / 27.5" / 29" tyres and for fitting to a 26" bike with more offset to keep toes and front wheel seperate.
Plan is to keep the rear @ 26".
My 29er wheel fits in my 26" (440mm) exotic rigid fork just fine.
I tried my inbred as a 69er. I was underwhelmed but maybe it just didn't really have any advantages for my riding.
Quite liked my Inbred as a 69er. Persuaded me to go the whole hog and buy a 29er
Just ordered some Conti Rubber Queens in Black Chilli, fek me tyres are expensive, resorted to buying from Germany as far cheaper.
Oooooooooooooh - i'm excited - just had a parcel arrive at home from Germany (i'm at work) my son has opened it and his sniff test has revealed the smell of new tyres!!!! - i've not had brand new tyres for years!!!!!
The wife collected my Hope/Stans 29er wheel from the bike shop today = "why does it cost so much?", "that'll be cos it's extra round" i said.
Salsa bars from ebay have also arrived, 11' bend = i'm 17' curious now.
Hurry up 18:30!!!
STW live build needed!
Fork caught my eye...

So here it is in current guise:
I had to swap to a 180mm IS caliper (which seems to be ok with out a bleed), handlebars seem to be set ok (i like the 11' feel but need to try them out off road), been for a tow path & hill climb test ride and had to regrease the ISIS BB as creaking when putting the power down.
Will try it around the woods tomorrow.
Would really like to get rid of the singulator with some thing like a Trickstuff Exzentriker (anyone got one?) but they're blooming expensive. If i stick with the SS then i also have a DT 240 SS hub in the spares box which may find its way onto an ArchEX as a Xmas pressie.
So, got out for a proper ride in yesterdays lovely sunshine, rode out to Standish Woods, Edge, Stroud, Selsey, Coaley Peak, Rodbourough Common & home.
Bike worked a treat, a kinda long travel full rigid singlespeed. Although i did immediately encounter a 69er specific problem in that i got a snakebite flat in the front, slotted in my only spare tube (26") and put a hole in that trying to get the tyre back on!!! Two patches later and i was on my way again, it went flat all of a sudden whilst laid on the lawn after just getting home!!!!
My legs are tired today.
