Ok so iv picked up a genesis tarn frame and rigid alloy fork at a bargain price... thinking this is too sweet to be true.. turns out yeah there was a snag. No axles provided! I wasn't overly concerned as I thought I'll just buy new fresh ones. But after trying to look into this I'm pretty perplexed....Obviously the axles are 12mm 148 boost rear and 15mm 110 boost front but there doesn't appear to be standard replacements! How do I work out what I need. Is it the frame/fork that defines that or the wheels(hubs) or the combo of both??? Help me (yeah i emailed Genesis but they pretty much ignored my request for info)
You'll need to find out / workout the axle length, thread length and thread pitch before you can buy a replacement.
Brand-x make axles so may have the correct ones to suit

Dhrider cheers! yeah I kinda gathered there were a few dimentions that are variable. Now I know what the variables are! Thanks for the info! I suppose the easy thing to do is get those details from genesis. Unless anyone on here can furnish me with them? I know Google knows all. But apparently not this (not very) tech info....
It needs a 148x12x1.5 axle. Stock one is Shimano - part nos SMAX76B or AXMT50014812 should work.
Thankyou for that! Much appreciated!
