What's the difference between "Team Tubeless Ready" and "Team Issue TLR"
Anyone know?
Sounds no more than branding to me.
According to the Bonty website, the Team-Issue TLR is the only model they produce the XR-Mud in, but I've found the other model for £4 cheaper. I've asked the shop selling them, just wondering if anyone else knew.
TLR stands for TubeLess Ready. The change in names is most likely a switch between model years such as the Mud X becoming the XR Mud Team Issue.
Check the Bonty website. I think they vary compounds, puncture protection and casing type on the various different versions of the same tyre - but their website tells you the differences in great detail.
Ah... I appear to be wrong. Oh well
Reply from the shop seling the tyres in question:
"To answer your question regarding the XR-Mud tyres they are the same tread, the XR-Mud Team Issue TLR tyres is the 2013 version, Trek have improved the compound, although they cannot tell me how
So I've ordered the cheaper one. 🙂
