My Drop Line seat post needs some TLC, sometimes rises up or sags slightly.

My friend Google is unable to provide a tear down procedure.

Can anyone advise please.

How old is it? I've had three warranties in last 7 months.

Sounds like a (sealed) cartridge fault. See ur Trek dealer about warranty. The only serviceable parts are the seals in the collar & greasing them

It's meant to have the same internals as the 9point8 fall line dropper right?

On the 9point8 those symptoms you described would be similar to a post which has the cable too tight, preventing the brake from locking out. There should be some play in the cable when at 'rest'.

just warranty it and get a new one. The anodising went on mine within a few weeks of riding and then side to side and vertical play started soon after.

Sorry been lax on this post. Really annoyed me today so warranty job. Is it likely to be a repair or replacement after 7 months?
