now that they’re about £350 and been around a few years has anyone got one and would you recommend it? I’m looking for a simple to set up air shock that can handle some abuse on trails and bike parks, but I haven’t got a lot of money to spend on big fancy air shocks.
It's basically a Fox Float X Performance but without the lockout and with the low speed compression adjust... So any feedback on the Float X will apply too...
What size do you need? There's some bargains out there on some of the variants of this shock... There is now an inline version too, which is basically just a Fox Float without the lockout too.
What is it replacing? There's loads of stuff available 2nd hand for much less than that price
I’m after a 230x65 to replace the very basic RS DLX coil on my YT Decoy. I definitely want one with a piggy back as I use the bike for everything from XC to full on DH tracks. I just want an air shock that works well, is reliable and is easy to set up and forget.

I've got a brand new (but blown so needs a rebuild service) 230x65mm Fox Float X2 Performance I was about to list as spares or repairs on facebook marketplace for £100... A £100 service and it'll be an awesome shock, and can get it custom tuned to you and your bike in for that price too... Came to me on a brand new bike but I swapped it out immediately, and by the time I realised it's actually blown (would have been subject to a Silverfish warranty recall) I had sold the bike on anyway... PM me if of any interest...

Just be prepared to take advantage of the warranty.
As to the Bomber, I've had the Float X Performance as stock shock on a couple of bikes and it's been pretty good, but never outstanding. I would struggle to pony up £350 for the Bomber if it's basically the same shock.
