this one /\

Anyone ride it regularly? Need some help on the final part of the segment as not sure where the line is?
My current line for those that ride it is to drop in by the tree at the top (left), weave round it, the sharp steep left towards the board walk and steps.

See some lads dropping in off the high bank. Just curious more than anything as i am not sure how it can be done in 36 seconds my way!!

20% faster than the next person on the leader board on such a short segment? GPS/timing error.

Yes, short segments are pretty pointless.

Also, the line doesn't need to be exact. There is some fuzziness in segment matching. You could ride 20m off to one side, it will probably still match. Even if it is a much easier route.
If you have a segment on a trail next to a road, it can still match for people cycling along the road.

you reckon?

look at the rest of the top ten. quite tightly packed between 47-53s.

and one guy way out in front at 36s? and check the date, he did it in 2013.

and if you check the ride its from, gps is jumping all over the place.

I'd consider the 2nd place to be the benchmark.

😂
My only time on strava is 3.30 so I must have taken the wrong line.
Having said that the fastest of anyone who I ride with it’s is 2 mins so maybe we are all bigger mincers than we thought.
Def true about being off by quite a way and still logging as that segment. The classic example of this is blacka car park to first junction. Top times are all on the road that runs parallel. 1/3 of a mile at 45mph off road including going through a gate? Don’t think so...

There's definitely something not quite right with that activity.

As a northerly facing slope it's not unusual to get a bit of GPS drift around there when you lose contact with some satellites, however looking at some of the other segments for that fella's ride (e.g. Glitter Ninja) , the line he has 'seemingly' taken is not even possible!

Looks like his activty has been flagged anyway ...

I would take any Strava result along Rivelin with a pinch of salt (unless it's one of my PRs ... then of course it's accurate! 🙂 )
