Well my lake BOA shoes messed up and the wire frayed then snapped. now i knew the BOA system had a lifetime warranty ( life of shoe ) so contacted lake who told me to go to the BOA website. On there you simply go to service page and add what new parts you want in my case as they had changed the design of the button i entered 2 brand new full kits ( include fitting tools too ).

Sent all the way from Colorado in the USA for free to my door for not a penny brilliant i thought i would have to pay postage but nope all done for free.

Big thumbs up from me 😀

Is it that great if they seem so prone to breaking in the first place? Not the first time I've heard of them breaking...

I like that company. Especially like the way they advertise the products that use their system. Quite fancy picking up some of their wrist supports as my wrists are knackered and all the velcro supports I have tried have been useless.

A damn sight better than most.. easy to use, great support, clean!! 2009 pair of shoes (very well used).. replaced both the ratchets for free... can't see any other brand/system doing that??

I broke a lace today - which isn't bad considering that I've had the boots for almost 3 years - and, after riding home with cable ties, logged on to the boa website.
I now have 2 sets of new laces on their way from Colorado - no charge, no postage.

Now that's what I call service!

I ordered some for my Specialized shoes after seeing this the first time round and have yet to see them turn up.

I have to say I'm less of a fan of the design. Been through 5 boa dials and laces on a pair of 2010 s-works mtb shoes. They last about a month for me then fail to pop up, then the ratchet tabs shear and they don't tighten the shoes or even better remain tightened on and won't come undone. Replaced them with a set of old Salomon laces (the ones with the pull tab to tighten) and TBH there isn't a big difference unless you like your shoes super snug (which I do but you can only get the BOA's tight for a month before a ratchet tab breaks and you are forced to have them too loose.) Still the sole is now falling off both shoes so they are not long for this world anyway...

Just got back from a week away and the replacement laces were waiting for me.
Impressed with the service - makes a real change to deal with a company that understands what service means.

+1

I've had 5 pairs of S-Works shoes, some going back 6 years and I've never had a problem with any!
