In a word; OUTSTANDING.
My Lake winter boots boa system had failed, I don't think two "winters" of Sussex mud and neglect helped.
Quick Email exchange with Boa Europe and within five days a complete set of laces, cogs and covers arrived. Took about two hours to fit but nice shiny and smooth Boa system again.
Thank you Boa.
Cool. Btw which Lakes were they? Considering a pair.
Same here, excellent service.
By failed do you mean got stuck? Mine did. Turned out to be the protective plastic coating that gets squashed and then snags. I removed that and that fixed it. New laces are in a box 2 years on.
It is indeed very good. Emailed some photos of a customer's BOA dials and had replacements arrive FOC from Austria 3 days later.
what they said only ever needed "laces" when mine snapped and straight away
Have to say i like the system and i like the way you can tighten it even with gloves
Also a set of lakes
FWIW mine took 6 years to break
Same here - excellent service (which I seem to remember telling Ming about)
These posts do give the impression that they break a lot but, as Ming says, considering the crappy conditions that mine have been through, I fail to see how ordinary laces or velcro would fare any better - and they are so easy to tighten/loosen (even whilst riding along)
Gotta love Lake boots, and the wonderful Boa system.
Lake MX145 boots, BTW
Lake 303's which I've cleaned......twice
And yes the plastic outer had delaminated
