Hi,

Alan mate of mine just bought a Merida 160.

The rear shock was removed before use in favour of something else.

He now wants to sell it on.

It's 216 x 63.

What should he be asking please?

Thanks in advance.

Alan.

I recently sold my brand new monarch plus rc3 for £175, which included manual, pump & volume spacers; I had a real problem trying to set a price because if you check eBay they can vary from £100-£300 depending on the size & tune...

In the end I took the middle ground and put it up for £200 whilst at the same time being genuine that I didn't really know the value, so was open to offers.

A quick check of sold monarchs on eBay suggests he should expect anywhere between £110-£160 for brand new removed from bike shock.

Most popular size so that's good.

R model is OE with less adjustment though, so £150-170 if it's the M/M tune.

Perhaps less if any other tune.
