I love a good BMX video usually far more than a MTB one.

This one isn’t new but dang it’s good (IMHO).

I presume that BMXers have very dense bones …

As one of the comments states … “you need to wear a helmet just to watch this”

The most impressive part is that he managed to have a kid after all those rails gone wrong

Enjoyed that, love crash reels. That first bunny hop, after, insane!

I still maintain if you fancy taking up BMX in older age but are too cautious, then take up street trials instead. It isn't as raw, as you have brakes, and it's more trials focused so a lot of slow speed technical skills - which is great for crossover to slow speed technical MTB. It's what I did seven years ago, and I'm still doing it at 50 years old. I'm not as good as most people who've ridden trials for seven years but WGAF. I also haven't learnt any of the more bmxy side of street trials, as trials became more my focus. Only lasting injuries are my left big toe no longer bends, and scars on my shins from pedals.

ps I started this thread with the idea of having a big collection of riding videos from multiple disciplines:

Having ridden BMX for 40 years you earn how to bail, roll and generally get out of crashing badly pretty quickly as you learn tricks, especially if you grow up riding concrete skateparks, only sport I can think of where you have more bails/crashes so often is Skateboarding, I have much respect for skaters, ankle and wrist breaks are very common!

I still love doing handrails but still find them scary, its a roller coaster of speed, landing on the rail correctly, maintaining balance and then making sure you don't loop out or nose dive at the end!

Only thing that scares me on the MTB  is trees, not nice hitting them at speed!

Most definitely a different breed!
Also see "go fast & pull up" or "Walls", here's another crazy gem @ El Toro:

LOL, I have nephews & nieces who went to El Toro.  I'll ask if any of them has whipped the stairs 😆

Love watching street BMX, that was a great edit! 360 off the roof was massive.

I was always pretty crap at riding BMX, could just about manage 180s and feeble/smith grinds and jumping down stair sets. I do sometimes think about trying BMX again but wasn't that successful when I had a 24" Model C for a while - even that felt too small and twitchy compared to a 26". Some of the 22" bikes out there now look really cool.
