I went to Deeside skate park for a closed session with a group that a mate runs. Obviously I wasn't very good at it but would like to give it a go.
Any tips for someone older starting out?
Judging by the fact that I can't bend my elbow this morning, pads are a prerequisite!

I'm not that old but had about a 6 year break from it in which time I was only riding mtb. Best tip is to stick at it and take it easy to start with as it feels so twitchy after riding mtb, but I've found I much prefer it now and my mtbs feel big, flexy, slow and sluggish in comparison!
