ordered thursday night, arrived this morning.
second pair of CNC nano thru pin pedal (not because the other broke, but because i wanted another pair.
and some blingy rotors.
I dont care what anyone else thinks, Superstar really are blurdy great 🙂
+1
And unlike CRC they do not appear to have let my credit card details get nicked from their site.
My GF also likes Haribo, which helps.
+1 got wheels and nano pedals, next day delivery and pretty bombproof as well.
until something goes wrong

+1 and another +1 for the Haribo 🙂
Agreed. Got my brake pads next day.

Ordered 4 sets of brake pads, a rotor & a q/r seat clamp at 3pm a few Friday's ago. The postie delivered them 11am the next morning.
The pads are the kevlar ones, & were faultless on my trip away in the Alpujarras last week, & yes, I have used Superstar pads before, & no, i've not had any problems with them. Unlike a set of 'genuine' manufacturers branded pads in which the friction material parted company with the backplate on an alpine descent a couple of years back..
problem is there products seem to be of variable quality some are excelent value for money [they are all cheap] but some are shonky my chain tenioner lasted less than year and customer service is very very poor
What are the rotors like?
I found the customer service spot on, they made a mistake with an order, I sent a quick email, Ti bolts in next days post (and more haribo :D)
+1 for haribos
yes they can get the tat to you quick but contact them saying t has broken and they are really poor
Never had any problems here!!
Just waiting for the seatposts next week to complete my superetar bike!!
Just a amazing sea of redness 😳
junky if you sent them an email saying "oi your tat is broken I want new stuff" it's no wonder they gave you a thorough ignoring 😆
My Evo rear hub failed, odd failure - it stopped engaging and had some gouges between the paws, looked like it had come down hard on the spines. I emailed them then sent it back and the wheel was back with me as good as new (new freehub) in 3 days. Can't fault that.
I've had great experiences with Superstar, always get my free haribo as well 😀 Only annoyance is they don't seem to do the shroom grips any more - they were really good.
One of my Superstar pads separated from the backing plate today. Bit of a pain as I was in the middle of a 65k. I've never had that with any other make of pad. Annoying.
highjack
@ nickf...was that the Princess Risbourgh 65K...I did that today, nice and fast (3hrs, 4 mins) 🙂
I have had expensive pads separate on me before it does happen.
Cant fault them the few times i have dealt with them, will be ordering from them again soon.
The OP is Fruit and I claim my £5! 😀 and my free Haribo!

To be fair, it does happen with others, I've had it with OEM Shimano frinstance, and with a very expensive Carbon Lorraine motorbike pad. Never had it with Superstar but won't be appalled if it does happen.
I think I'll think twice before buying complex products from them again- the seatpost was a bit of a farce, being asked to service it to fix an issue that was there from new, then sending it in on warranty and being told "You caused the issue when you serviced it but now it's fixed", then discovering that after all that it still didn't bloody work... That was not inspiring.
But I do like the pads, they're not just cheap, they're good. Chain device has been good too. I ended up getting my Nano pedals from Readytoride who ironically gave me a generally less good service than Superstar but did come good.
They used to get a hard time about stuff so i never went near the stuff, then i read a few reports on there stuff...
So i then i tried there brake pads for my beach bike- it gets a hard time with the elements... 😮
There pads are £8 pair- or £24 for 4 pairs... Avid were £18 for 1 pair 8O,
they last and have been a bargin,
tried there disc rotors are £8.99 each (160mm) and so far so good,
recently looking at there headsets and they have the extra seals like Hope so will try one of those soon,
And i just bought a pair of there tech pedals as a friend rates them for reliability,(GW you are right on this one! :o)
To be honest i have had more grief from local bike shops poor mechanics (from trained mechanics?) setting up bikes for friends than suppliers of bike parts and so far i cant fault superstar components...
everything comes down to cash nowadays and there stuff so far for myself has been good value,
Ordered quite a few bits from them in recent weeks, been very impressed with service so far - got a nice email asking about what colour of BB I wanted and it arrived next day.
Haven't used the stuff properly yet so cannot comment on performance but going to Afan tomorrow so looking forward to getting back on the trails 🙂
nsaints, yep, the Princes Risborough one.
Was going very well (other than me feeling a bit rubbish and riding a shonky bike), but ended up cutting it short.
Does nobody carry a set of spare pads/old pads with a teeny bit of meat left on them with their puncture repair kit, tyre boot, spare chain links, spare jockey wheel, mech hanger, old shoelace etc?
Pfffrt. Kidz today 🙄
Pads - variable, mostly good
Pedals - absolutley fantastic, why would you spend more?
Quick releases - again great no problems
Seat clamps - again great no problems
Chain devices - seem good so far, not used long enough to comment on reliability
Crest/superlegga wheelset - not particularly happy with the build quality, they completely lost all tension after 2 rides. They've offered to take them back, but rather than be without wheels I spent hours in a stand with a tension meter sorting it. So far one ride later seem ok. 6 days in wales coming up will see.....
thumbs up to Superstar.... 🙂
I like their stuff but its a shame they take the easyjet approach to customer support and make it impossible to get in touch with them.
Only issue I had was due to my meddling, & they sorted it quickly after realising what I'd done. Kit I've had had been good, but a BB seized up after a drenching. Will use again. Single ring chain device is. good so got another. Why spend double because forum snobs say so...
Good gear at great prizes and sponsors of the Big Bike Bash as well. Can't go wrong.
Only thing i've bought from them was a chain device, because it was cheap.
It was also very low quality in places - the lower roller/guide . The jockey wheel wore out in very few miles, squeaked and dragged badly.
The backing plate and top link are fine though - can't really expect more for the money, although the backing plate needed extensive dremel action to fit on my BFe
Still - hacksaw the bottom arm off, dremel, alu plate, mrp roller - works fine now 🙂
