Argh... my head is about to explode.

I have a blog. Click my name to see it. I also have a Just Giving sponsorship page, which they have made me a "widget" which places a link on your blog / website. The only problem is that its in HTML(!!).

What the hell do I do with this ? where can I past it to get it onto my Blog ?

The blog was made / formatted with just the standard widgets that came with blogger so anything in HTML is totally beyond me.

PLease could one of you learned people offer me some advise, bearing in mind that I am a complete numpty with this kind of stuff.

Thanks all!

*I'm also a numpty when it comes to putting posts into the right forums too.

either:

if you have an older blog
log into blogger.

go to you template.

find the place you want to place the just giving HTML text

Anywhere after the <body>

save

or create a blog type in the blog 'insert just giving' switch the blog editor to HTML - find the 'insert just giving' text and then insert the just giving HTML. delete the 'insert just givng' text switch back to the non html editor - check you are happy then publish

You need to drop the code into your template.
login to blogger and then find your template tab, you should see some code in a window, I'd copy all that and paste it into notebook first, then see if you can work out where you want the justgiving code and paste that in. If you're incredibly lucky, it'll work.

Your best bet is finding someone who knows what they're doing, changing your password to a numpty one, giving it to them so they can sort your website out and then changing it back to 1vegotbogballs or wahetever it was before once they've finished.

On the design page, just click 'Add a gadget' in the place where you want to add it. Select the HTML code gadget and paste the code in there. Should work.

yep newer blogs have the design tab instead of template.

easier to use than modify the template if you do not like markup
