found one on a ride ,tried it on, and was pleasantly surprised how light and almost unoticeable it was.I know they don't offer a lot of serious protection but as I don't normally wear any pads it's an improvement damage limitation wise .just wondered if there are any others about that are super light and equally comfy for general all round use ? Thanks in advance.

Bill

I really like mine bit they seemed to have stopped making them. Endura do a lite knee pad

https://www.endurasport.com/product/singletrack-lite-knee-protector/

not sure what they are like.

riding buddy uses G form pads they also seem good.

I've got g form knee and elbow pads, and I honestly forget I'm wearing them, literally, I end up realising I still have them on half way home in the car. I even wore my knee pads snowboarding last winter.

Had bliss arg minimalist elbow pads and they were nice and light weight but we're too tight on my arms so can't comment on comfort.

The newer Minimailists are better than the originals - a longer sleeve for better fit and stability and the armourgel is molded to fit the knee better. Always wear mine after a nasty incident a couple of years ago.

guess my main priority is that I hardly notice I'm wearing them...this will encourage me to use more often and so hopefully be there when an inevitable spill happens.Been lucky over the years but don't ride too severe terrain tbh due to no armour and advancing years!

I found TLD speeds kind to be the closest thing to not wearing anything

D30 flexible "shell" attached to a knee warmer.

Pay attention to their sizing chart and they don't move

Seconded on the tld speeds, once on they do not move. And importantly no velcro straps that catch when you pedal.

only time I feel they've been on, is when the blessed rush of fresh air hits the back of your knee when you take em off 😂

Re the tld speeds and the g form, anyone able to tell me if they have silicone grippers? I've got bliss arg and the silicone on my legs brings me out in horrible blisters (i assume it's sweat rash, all my riding gear with silicone does it on m legs, doesn't seem to bother me above the waist.)
