Hi
Need to extract back to back blind bearings from muddy end of swingarm. Have got a correctly sized expanding clamp to inner race tool. However not keen on hammering out from an unsupported arm which I’m hoping to leave attached.
Bearing is 21mm od, I can get 22mm diameter hole nylon pipe off cuts from eBay ,
A - put nylon pipe against swing arm, metal plate with hole over top of pipe and use a bolt on the bearing clamp to wind out the bearing
B - nylon pipe against swing arm, 3 arm puller legs onto pipe and push out the bearing
C - man up and hammer
Ta
Stick a blanket on the floor, lay the bike on its side and arrange some blocks of wood so the the frame is supported properly so you whack it out with a hammer
Is it truly blind? Then cheap bread hammered into the hole will push it out.
Specialized ?
I needed a slide hammer tool and a LOT of time, headache pills and patience for mine.
I don't think it helped but I think the holes in the swingarm must have been at the tighter end of tolerance. My bearings tried to come out on the skew-whiff and started to bind as well.
I'll see if I can post my threads below in case the advice on there helps.
First one I think the more useful for your issue.
