Kit is fine. Plus a you need 7mm spanner.

I just do it on the bike, fine as long as your careful , easiest way is from the bottom up. Put the brake lever level and remove the cover and rubber seal. Fill syringe and attach to bleed valve with tube. Open valve and squeeze through about 20ml of fluid, close valve without letting in any air. excess fluid will come out of the reservoir so need a dish to catch this. Replace rubber seal and cover then clean levers up. Job done.

I bought 1l ofmineral oil. Some syringes of eBay and some washer tube from car parts shop as probably cheaper in the long run.

Personally, I do it on the bike, but rtemove the wheel and pads, to prevent any contamination issues. You do really need a bleed block, but you can bodge one quite easily - see link here

I've got a spare one of those blocks you can have if you want it. Email me if you want it and I'll pop it in the post this evening.

See you wouldn't have this problem if you had a cx with cantis, I believe there is an 18 page spread in the latest issue 😉 wouldn't know myself as I don't read it just what I've heard

I also have a similar issue with my new hopes lol 😉

I've found a pair of pliers sit nicely in the caliper to keep the pistons in.

I think for the M595s, which is a later model Deore, you'll also need one of those plastic cups that screw into the resevoir cover -

It is 596 you need the cup for, 595 is the last of the older style Deores with the large removable top cap like this -
