Hi
I've just trimmed the hose on my rear brake for a second time.
Must have let a bit of air in as the lever is soft now.
Can I bleed just the hose and lever ? So attach syringe to calliper and lever
Push fluid up from calliper and suck bubbles out the lever ?
Give it a full bleed, you'll be amazed at the amount of air that comes out, even if it's brand new and untouched. It's also worth removing the pads one at a time, bracing the rotor against the other, and allowing the free piston to come out a bit further than normal, then pushing them back all the way in, as they'll be a touch sticky from new, which'll cause a long lever travel.
Yeah ended up bleeding both brakes as i had trimmed the hose on both.
Hardly had any air come out of the lever but loads came out at the caliper.
