Wanted to ride the Gaick with our 20 month-old in the Bobike mini. £26 is crazy, and the full loop is too much for him.

Last-minute rail fares (and this counts) are crazy. Book ahead and they are dead cheap though

Yup, you are screwed if you don't book in advance.

Smaller stations screw you too: Glasgow-Fortwilliam cheaper than Glasgow-Corrour

There's a wee bit in the middle that might be a walk, but I reckon it is doable. He enjoyed the Loch Gamhna singletrack last weekend. Obviously I modify my riding style...
